BetRivers Poker has introduced Splash the Pot, an innovative cash game feature that randomly drops bonus money into pots, creating high-energy moments and extra rewards for players at all stakes.
The feature will be familiar to fans of Run It Once Poker—the platform founded by Phil Galfond and later acquired by Rush Street Interactive, the parent company of BetRivers Poker—and is now fully integrated into all BetRivers cash games.
“Splash the Pot is a feature we’ve long wanted to bring to our tables,” said Jason Senti, Head of Poker at BetRivers Poker. “Players loved it on Run It Once, and it made sense to make it a core part of BetRivers from day one. It adds excitement to cash games, rewards everyone at the table, and supports the long-term health of the poker ecosystem.”
How ‘Splash the Pot’ Works
During randomly selected hands, extra money is added directly into the pot before any betting occurs. Once the bonus hits the table, the hand proceeds as usual, with the eventual winner taking the extra cash. No opt-in is required, and players can easily spot splashed hands thanks to gold pot displays and enhanced table visuals. Hand histories also provide clear details showing player contributions versus splash amounts.
BIG SPLASH: A Table-Wide Bonus Experience
BetRivers Poker also introduced BIG SPLASH, a rare event that turns a single hand into a shared bonus celebration. In a BIG SPLASH hand, all players are dealt face-up cards, betting is skipped, and the board is completed automatically. The player with the strongest hand takes the largest portion of the bonus, while the remainder is split among the table.
“Splash the Pot just feels good for players,” said Jesse Wilke, Director of Poker Marketing at BetRivers Poker. “You’re playing the cash games you know and love, and suddenly there’s extra money in the pot for anyone to win. It adds energy, rewards engagement, and creates fun, memorable moments at the table. With Splash the Pot now live, we’re looking forward to rolling out more exciting promotions featuring this feature in the months ahead.”
