Esfandiari and Keating Clash in $2.4M Pot During Super High Roller Cash Game

Antonio Esfandiari returned to the felt for Night 2 of the Super High Roller Cash Game, while Alan Keating bounced back after a rough opening session. After losing over $900,000 on Night 1, Keating came back on Tuesday with a massive $2,000,000 stack, ready to reclaim his dominance. The table also featured Andrew Robl, Andrew Pacheco, Darin Feinstein, Kirk Brown, Justin Gavri, and Sam “Senor Tilt” Kiki, who joined a few minutes late with $250,000.

Kiki’s comeback was short-lived, as he quickly lost his buy-in and added to his previous $600K deficit before leaving for Miami on Wednesday. The spotlight, however, belonged to Esfandiari and Keating, who both finished strong — Esfandiari up $676,000 and Keating cashing $886,500 — highlighted by a jaw-dropping $2.4 million confrontation.

The massive pot unfolded when Robl opened to $20,000 with king-queen and Esfandiari three-bet to $58,000 with a premium holding. Keating, holding an inferior hand, shoved $125,000, sending Robl out of the way. Esfandiari called, and the flop came , giving him a top set versus Keating’s second pair and an open-ended straight draw. In a bold move, Esfandiari pushed over $1 million into the pot.

After a tense tank, Keating called and requested to run the board twice — a decision that could have turned the tide. The first runout delivered a straight for Keating, creating a nerve-wracking moment for Esfandiari. The second runout, however, held, allowing Esfandiari to survive the clash.

Keating capped the night with a flip victory to finish near even over the two sessions, while Robl added $284,000 to his stack and Pacheco posted $551,500 in profit. Brown, Feinstein, and Senor Tilt closed the session in the red.
