Jeff Platt Hosts Charity Poker Bash in Las Vegas

Steak, Stars & Showdowns: Jeff Platt Hosts Charity Poker Bash in Las Vegas

Mark your calendar for February 24, when Jeff Platt headlines an evening of cards, cuisine and charity at the annual Charity Series of Poker awards dinner.

Hosted at Via Brasil Steakhouse, the night promises premium cuts of meat, an open bar, and more than $15,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs in the poker tournament that follows.

Dinner, Drinks & Dealing

The $300 buy-in (with optional $100 add-ons) covers it all — your tournament seat, a full Brazilian steakhouse experience, and unlimited drinks. For the uninitiated, that means gauchos carving meats tableside until you surrender, plus access to a full salad bar for those pacing themselves.

Prefer to skip the cards? A $150 dinner-only option still includes the feast, open bar, raffles, and silent auction.

Before the chips start flying at 7 p.m., CSOP founder Matt Stout will kick things off with a complimentary poker lesson at 5 p.m., giving attendees a chance to sharpen their skills while they sip and socialize.

Celebrity Lineup

As always, the Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) event doubles as a star-studded hangout.

Expected guests include:

  • Fat Mike of NOFX

  • Kane Hodder, best known for Friday the 13th

  • Katie Morgan

Poker fans can also expect to see familiar faces such as Mike Matusow, Matt Savage, Tyler Patterson, Jonathan Little, and Sean McCormick mingling throughout the evening.

Playing for a Purpose

Beyond the steaks and celebrity sightings, the heart of the night is fundraising. The Charity Series of Poker has raised more than $8 million across 93 events over the past 12 years, supporting a wide range of charitable initiatives.

Proceeds from the dinner, tournament, raffles, and silent auction will continue that mission — giving attendees the chance to have fun while giving back.

Tickets, donations, and auction details are available through the CSOP website. If you’re in Las Vegas on February 24 and looking for a night that blends poker, prime rib, and philanthropy, this one checks every box.
