WSOP Circuit Makes Historic Texas Debut as Austin Hosts $1 Million Main Event

Texas poker is about to hit a major milestone.

For the first time ever, the World Series of Poker Circuit is heading to the Lone Star State, and it’s arriving in style. Texas Card House Austin will host the landmark stop from April 23 through May 4, headlined by a $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event that puts Texas firmly on the WSOP map.

A Long Time Coming for Texas Poker

Texas Card House has been a fixture in the Austin poker scene since 2015, playing a key role in introducing the private club model that helped ignite the state’s poker boom. Since then, Texas has evolved into one of the most vibrant poker markets in the country, now home to dozens of rooms statewide.

TCH operates six locations across Texas, and hosting a WSOP Circuit stop marks the next big step—not just for the brand, but for Texas poker as a whole. When cards hit the felt in April, it will be a historic moment years in the making.

Rings, Guarantees, and a Packed Schedule

The newly released schedule features 18 WSOP Circuit ring events, including multiple six-figure guarantees and, of course, the marquee $1M Main Event.

Action kicks off on April 23 with a strong opening punch. The day begins at 10 a.m. with The First Lone Star Ring, a $400 event boasting a $100,000 guarantee. Shortly after, players will take their seats for the first flight of the $600 Mini Main Event, which carries a hefty $500,000 guarantee.

The Mini Main offers five starting flights running through Saturday, with survivors returning for Day 2 on Sunday, April 26.

Big State, Bigger Prize Pools

Several other high-profile events dot the schedule, starting with the Big Tex High Roller on April 27. The $3,250 buy-in tournament comes with a $100,000 guarantee and is paired with the launch of the Monster Stack, another six-figure event that runs across multiple flights.

Additional highlights include:

  • Blazing Trail Ring Event – $1,100 buy-in, $100,000 guarantee (April 29)

  • $400 Showdown at the Capitol – April 26

  • $600 8-Game Mix – April 27

  • $600 Big O and $600 H.O.R.S.E. for mixed-game fans

There’s also plenty of inclusive action, with Ladies, Seniors (50+), and lower buy-in ring events ensuring something for every type of player and bankroll.

All Roads Lead to the Main Event

Everything builds toward the $1,000,000 guaranteed WSOP Circuit Main Event, which features three starting flights from April 30 to May 2. Players who survive will return on Sunday, May 3, to play down to the final table, with a champion crowned on Monday, May 4.
